O pecado você tem medo Sin you fear

Ao procurar a libertação do poder do pecado que habita em nós, há algumas verdades que podem ser especialmente úteis. Vamos considerá-las.

As duas naturezas

Devemos lembrar que existem duas naturezas em cada cristão (Rm 7.14-25). Uma é a velha natureza maligna e corrupta que nasce com ele. A outra é a nova natureza pura e santa que ele recebe na sua conversão. Podemos chamá-las a natureza de Adão e a natureza de Cristo. Um cristão explicou isso da seguinte forma: “O pecado foi retirado do meu coração, mas ainda imito o meu bisavô” (isto é: a velha natureza).

 

A velha natureza é completamente má. A experiência de Paulo também é a nossa. Ele disse: “Porque eu sei que em mim, isto é, na minha carne, não habita bem nenhum” (Rm 7.18a). Portanto, nunca devemos procurar uma tendência boa na nossa velha natureza, e nunca devemos ficar desapontados ou surpreendidos quando não encontramos essa tendência boa. Ela não só é completamente má, é incuravelmente má! Depois de uma vida inteira tentando ser correta, ela não ficará melhor do que era quando essa vida começou. De fato Deus não tem interesse em melhorar a velha natureza. Ele condenou-a na cruz do Calvário, e quer que nos mantenhamos alheios a todas as tentativas que ela faz para controlar as nossas vidas.

Paulo igualou a velha natureza a um cadáver amarrado às suas costas. (É claro que o corpo estava se decompondo e cheirava mal.) Tinha que transportá-lo onde quer que fosse, o que o fazia gritar de angústia: “Desventurado homem que sou! Quem me livrará do corpo desta morte?”(Rm 7.24)

A nova natureza é a vida de Cristo e por isso mesmo é totalmente boa, tendo capacidade para fazer somente o bem. É pura, nobre, justa, cheia de amor e verdadeira. Todos os seus pensamentos, desejos, motivos e ações são semelhantes a Cristo.

Não é de se admirar que duas naturezas tão opostas estejam sempre em constante conflito. (Seria quase impossível coexistirem pacificamente, não é?) Esse conflito tem início na conversão, quando o novo crente experimenta uma tensão interior que nunca experimentara antes. A velha natureza procura abatê-lo, mantê-lo em baixo, tal como a lei da gravidade, mas a nova natureza quer elevá-lo às maiores alturas da santidade.

A guerra é tão intensa que ele é por vezes levado a duvidar da sua salvação. Mas não deve duvidar. O próprio fato de experimentar este conflito, mostra que é possuidor da salvação. Se não tivesse duas naturezas nunca o experimentaria.

Este conflito tem sido comparado à experiência de Rebeca quando sentiu os gêmeos a lutarem dentro do seu ventre e gritou: “Por que sou eu assim?” O que aconteceu a Rebeca acontece nos corações de todos os verdadeiros Filhos de Deus, que procuram viver com Ele.

Quando ficamos conscientes da presença do Espírito, o traidor que habita em nós também se manifesta. O cristão novo tem vontade de gritar: “Porque eu sou assim?”

Mas para nós, tal como com os filhos de Rebeca, o mais velho servirá o mais novo. Porque Deus prometeu abençoar tudo o que vem do Espírito e não o que vem da carne. (Barnhouse).

A batalha que começou com a conversão continuará durante toda a vida. Nunca se está de licença nesta guerra, só a morte ou o Arrebatamento nos darão a liberdade, mas seremos libertados da nossa velha natureza no momento em que virmos o Salvador, pois ao vê-lo seremos feitos semelhantes a Ele.

É importante que nos apercebamos que todos os filhos de Deus vivem este conflito. Paulo recorda-nos que não sobrevirá nenhuma tentação que não seja “humana” (1 Co 10.13). Os jovens, lutando com problemas juvenis, estão inclinados a pensar que os mais velhos, ou os pregadores, os pastores ou os missionários estão isentos das paixões sombrias e das ardentes tentações. É um perfeito disparate! Tal como Rebeca teve dois bebês que lutaram no seu ventre (Gn 25.22-23), também cada crente tem duas naturezas que lutam no seu interior.

A velha natureza alimenta-se de tudo o que é impuro, enquanto que a natureza nova anseia pelo que é puro e santo. São como o corvo e a pomba que Noé deixou sair da arca. O corvo imundo alimentava-se de todo o lixo e podridão que flutuavam nas águas, mas a pomba regressava sempre à arca até ao dia em que pôde encontrar um lugar limpo para pousar e alimentar-se (Gn 8.6-12). Assim, a velha natureza deleita-se com a lascívia de Hollywood e a imundície da TV. Mas a nova natureza anseia pelo leite sincero da palavra de Deus. É importante saber que a natureza que nutrimos é aquela que irá vencer. Um homem queixava-se que os seus dois cães brigavam constantemente. Um amigo indagou: “Qual deles vence?”, ao que ele respondeu: “Aquele que eu incentivo”. É assim com as duas naturezas, aquela que incentivarmos irá vencer. O caso do cuco também ilustra este fato. O cuco põe um ovo no ninho de outro pássaro, depois deixa que a outra ave o choque juntamente com os seus ovos. Quando a mãe de outra espécie traz comida para o ninho, encontra apenas bicos abertos para recebê-la. Então, tudo depende do bico que ela vai alimentar. Se o jovem cuco for alimentado, irá expulsar os outros passarinhos do ninho empurrando-os para o chão. Assim acontece no ninho da nossa vida.

When looking for deliverance from the power of sin that dwells in us , there are some truths that can be especially useful . Let's consider them.

The two natures

We must remember that there are two natures in every Christian ( Rom. 7:14-25 ) . One is the old evil and corrupt nature that comes with it . The other is the new pure and holy nature which he receives in his conversion . We call them Adam's nature and the nature of Christ . A Christian explained it this way : " The sin was removed from my heart , but still imitate my great-grandfather " ( ie : the old nature ) .

The old nature is completely bad . Paul's experience is also ours . He said : " Because I know that in me , that is, in my flesh , dwelleth no good thing " ( Rom. 7.18a ) . Therefore, we should never seek a good trend in our old nature , and should never be disappointed or surprised when we found this good trend . She is not only completely bad , is incurably bad ! After a lifetime trying to be correct, it will not be better than it was when that life began . Indeed God has no interest in improving the old nature . He condemned it to the cross of Calvary , and wants us to remain oblivious to all attempts she makes to control our lives .

Paul equaled the old nature to a corpse strapped to his back . ( . Course the body was decomposing and stank ) had to carry him wherever he went , which made him cry out in anguish , "O wretched man that I am ! Who will deliver me from this body of death? " ( Rom. 7:24)

The new nature is Christ's life and therefore is totally good , having the capacity to do only good. It is pure , noble , just, full of love and true . All his thoughts , desires , motives and actions are Christlike.

It is no wonder that two such opposite natures are always in constant conflict . ( It would be almost impossible to coexist peacefully , is not it? ) This conflict begins at conversion, when the new believer experiences an inner tension that had never before experienced . The old nature seeks to pull it down , keep it down , as the law of gravity , but the new nature wants to elevate it to greater heights of holiness .

The war is so intense that it is sometimes taken to doubt his salvation. But it should not be doubted . The fact try this conflict itself shows that it is possessed of salvation . Had not two natures never would experience .

This conflict has been compared to the experience of Rebecca when she felt the twins struggling within her womb and cried : " Why am I thus ? " What happened to Rebekah happens in the hearts of all true children of God , seeking to live with Him

When we become aware of the presence of the Spirit , the traitor who dwells in us is also manifested . The new Christian has wanted to scream : " Why am I like this? "

But for us , as with Rebekah's children , the elder shall serve the younger . Because God promised to bless everything that comes from the Spirit and not what comes from meat . ( Barnhouse ) .

The battle began with the conversion will continue throughout life . Never is on leave this war , only death or the Rapture will give us freedom, but we will be freed from our old nature when we see the Savior, for to see him we shall be like Him made

It is important to realize it that all children of God live this conflict . Paul reminds us that no temptation does not befall other than " human " ( 1 Cor 10:13) . Young people struggling with juvenile problems , are inclined to think that older , or preachers , pastors or missionaries are exempt from the dark passions and fiery temptations . It's a load of nonsense ! As Rebekah had two babies who struggled in her womb ( Gen. 25.22-23 ) , so each believer has two natures struggling within.

The old nature is nourished by all that is impure , while the new nature longs for what is pure and holy . They are like the raven and the dove that Noah let out of the ark . The filthy raven his food was all rubbish and rotting floating in the waters , but the dove returned to the ark always until the day he could find a clean place to land and feed themselves ( Gen. 8.6-12 ) . Thus , the old nature revels in lust and filth of Hollywood TV . But the new nature craves the sincere milk of the word of God . It is important to know that nature we nurture is one that will win. A man complained that his two dogs were constantly fighting . A friend asked, " Which one wins ? " , To which he replied : " That which I encourage ." So it is with the two natures , one that may spur will win. The case of the cuckoo also illustrates this fact . The cuckoo lays an egg in the nest of another bird , then let the other bird shock along with their eggs . When the mother of another species brings food to the nest , located just opened to welcome her nipples . So it all depends on the nozzle it will feed . If the young cuckoo is fed, will oust the other birds nest pushing them to the ground . So it is the nest of our life .
