Vejamos as principais diferenças entre adivinhação e profecia bíblica:
A adivinhação faz afirmações vagas e genéricas e não esclarece os fatos.
A profecia bíblica é a história escrita antes que aconteça. Ela parte do
próprio Deus Todo-Poderoso, que tem uma visão panorâmica das eras e as
estabeleceu em Seu plano divino. O profeta Isaías O engrandece: "" Senhor,
tu és o meu Deus; exaltar-te-ei a ti e louvarei o teu nome, porque tens
feito maravilhas e tens executado os teus conselhos antigos, fiéis e
verdadeiros" (Is 25.1). O próprio Senhor afirma: "lembrai-vos das coisas
passadas da antiguidade: que eu sou Deus, e não há outro, eu sou Deus, e
não há outro semelhante a mim; que desde o princípio anuncio o que há de
acontecer e desde a antiguidade, as coisas que ainda não sucederam; que
digo: o meu conselho permanecerá de pé, farei toda a minha vontade"
(Is 46.9-10).
A adivinhação interpreta algum tipo de sinal. A profecia bíblica não depende
da nossa interpretação, mas se sustenta exclusivamente em sua própria realização.
As previsões de astrólogos são especulativas e deixam margem para muitas
interpretações. A profecia bíblica acerta em 100% dos casos.
O apóstolo Pedro escreve: "Porque não vos demos a conhecer o poder e a vinda
de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo seguindo fábulas engenhosamente inventadas, mas
nós mesmos fomos testemunhas oculares da sua majestade" (2 Pe 1.16).
Tim LaHaye e Thomas Ice afirmam:
Falsas religiões e idéias supersticiosas baseiam-se em fábulas engenhosamente
inventadas, mas a fé cristã está fundamentada na auto-revelação do próprio Deus
aos homens, da forma como a encontramos na Bíblia. Além disso, Pedro designa a
profecia bíblica como "palavra profética" e diz: "...fazeis bem em atendê-la,
como a uma candeia que brilha em lugar tenebroso..." (2 Pe 1.19). Por que podemos
depositar toda a nossa confiança na palavra profética? Porque a profecia bíblica,
segundo a conclusão de Pedro, não é a explicação humana dos acontecimentos
históricos: "sabendo, primeiramente, isto: que nenhuma profecia da Escritura
provém de particular elucidação; porque nunca jamais qualquer profecia foi dada
por vontade humana; entretanto, homens [santos] falaram da parte de Deus, movidos
pelo Espírito Santo" (2 Pe 1.20-21).Tendo a profecia, os cristãos possuem um resumo
do plano divino para o futuro. Além disso, como centenas de profecias já se cumpriram
literalmente – a maioria delas relacionadas à primeira vinda de Cristo – sabemos que
todas as promessas em relação ao futuro também se cumprirão integralmente nos tempos
finais e por ocasião da volta de Cristo".[2]
Adivinhação e interpretação de sinais são baseados em mentiras, enquanto a profecia
divina é a mais absoluta verdade. Balaão era um "agoureiro" (Nm 24.1) que Balaque,
rei dos moabitas, queria usar para amaldiçoar Israel (Nm 23-24). E justamente esse
adivinhador foi obrigado a reconhecer: "Deus não é homem, para que minta; nem filho
de homem, para que se arrependa. Porventura, tendo ele prometido, não o fará? Ou,
tendo falado, não o cumprirá?" (Nm 23.19).
A Bíblia contém 6.408 versículos com declarações proféticas, das quais 3.268 já se
cumpriram. Não se sabe de nenhum caso em que uma profecia bíblica tivesse se cumprido
de forma diferente da profetizada. Esses números equivalem à chance de que ao jogar-se
1.264 dados, todos caiam, sem exceção, com o número 6 para cima. Essa probabilidade é
tão pequena que exclui toda e qualquer obra do acaso.[3]
Conforme o Dr. Roger Liebi, 330 profecias extremamente exatas e específicas referentes
ao Messias sofredor se cumpriram literalmente por ocasião da primeira vinda de Cristo.
Dessa abundância de profecias relacionadas ao nascimento, à vida e à morte de Jesus,
destacamos apenas o exemplo do Salmo 22.16-17: "...traspassaram-me as mãos e os pés.
Posso contar todos os meus ossos..." Não há dúvida de que essa passagem fala da
crucificação, pois o sofrimento descrito pelo salmista só acontece nesse tipo de morte.
Entre os judeus a crucificação jamais foi uma forma de execução de condenados à morte
e ainda não era conhecida quando o salmo foi escrito. Bem mais tarde os romanos copiaram
dos cartagineses a pena de morte por crucificação. Portanto, seria muito mais lógico se o
salmista tivesse descrito a morte por apedrejamento ou pela espada. Numa época tão remota
(1000 a.C.), por que ele falou da morte pela cruz, completamente desconhecida dos judeus?
A resposta é que o salmista, inspirado pelo Espírito de Deus, era um profeta e apontava a
morte futura de Jesus.
A adivinhação cria confusão mental, turva a visão para a verdade bíblica e bloqueia a disposição das pessoas de crerem no Evangelho de Jesus Cristo. Ela embota seus sentidos, prendê-as a falsos ensinos e torna-as inseguras em suas decisões. A profecia divina, entretanto, liberta e dá segurança. Por isso todos deveriam seguir o conselho de Deus: "Eu o disse, eu também o cumprirei; tomei este propósito, também o executarei. Ouvi-me vós..." (Is 46.11b-12a).
Qualquer pessoa que crê em Jesus Cristo e confia sua vida a Ele tem um futuro seguro e não precisa ter medo de nada. Quem se entrega a Jesus passa a viver sob a bênção da profecia encontrada em João 14.3: "E, quando eu for e vos preparar lugar, voltarei e vos receberei para mim mesmo, para que, onde eu estou, estejais vós também".

Tim LaHaye and Thomas Ice claim:

This abundance of prophecies concerning the birth, life and death of Jesus,
highlight only the example of Psalm 22.16-17: "... they pierced my hands and feet.
I can count all my bones ... "There is no doubt that the passage speaks of
Crucifixion, for suffering described by the psalmist only happens in this type of death.
Among the Jews crucifixion was ever a way to execute condemned to death
and it was not yet known when the psalm was written. Much later the Romans copied
Carthaginians of the death penalty by crucifixion. Therefore, it would be more logical if the
Psalmist had described death by stoning or by the sword. In such a remote epoch
(1000 BC), in which he spoke of death by the cross, completely unknown to the Jews?
The answer is that the Psalmist, inspired by the Spirit of God, was a prophet and pointed to
future death of Jesus.
Divination creates mental confusion blurred vision for biblical truth and blocks the willingness of people to believe the gospel of Jesus Christ. It dulls your senses, hold the false teachings and makes them insecure in your decisions. A divine prophecy, however, liberates and gives security. So everyone should follow the counsel of God, "I said, I too will pass; took this regard, I will do it ... Listen to me." (Is. 46.11b-12a).
Anyone who believes in Jesus Christ and trust your life to Him has a secure future and need not be afraid of anything. Who come to Jesus comes to live under the blessing of the prophecy found in John 14.3: "And if I go and prepare a place for you, come again and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also."
