O Que Diz a bíblia sobre o Fim do Mundo

Pergunta: “Anexo um artigo de jornal que trata do suposto fim do mundo. Pelo que sei da Bíblia, ela não fala do fim do mundo, mas de um novo céu e de uma nova terra. Onde se enquadra 2 Pedro 3.10?"

Resposta: Realmente, de acordo com 2 Pedro 3.10, a terra ainda enfrentará coisas terríveis, que muito bem podem ser chamadas de "fim do mundo". Mas temos de ser cuidadosos a respeito e prestar muita atenção ao que Pedro fala nessa passagem sobre a época desses acontecimentos: "Virá, entretanto, como ladrão, o Dia do Senhor, no qual os céus passarão com estrepitoso estrondo, e os elementos se desfarão abrasados; também a terra e as obras que nela existem serão atingidas."

É preciso distinguir claramente entre o "Dia de Jesus Cristo" e o "Dia do Senhor". Sempre que as Sagradas Escrituras falam do "Dia de Jesus Cristo" ou "Dia do Senhor Jesus", elas tratam da esperança viva dos crentes e da sua preparação para o arrebatamento e o galardão. Lemos em 1 

Coríntios 15.51-52 sobre esse Dia de Jesus Cristo: "Eis que vos digo um mistério: nem todos

dormiremos, mas transformados seremos todos, num momento, num abrir e fechar de olhos, ao ressoar da última trombeta. A trombeta soará, os mortos ressuscitarão incorruptíveis, e nós seremos transformados." Também 1 Tessalonicenses 4.16 fala desse dia: "Porquanto o Senhor mesmo, dada a sua palavra de ordem, ouvida a voz do arcanjo, e ressoada a trombeta de Deus, descerá dos céus, e os mortos em Cristo ressuscitarão primeiro." Em sua carta de aconselhamento aos filipenses, Paulo conclama-nos a uma vida em santificação para que não sejamos envergonhados no dia de Jesus Cristo: "E também faço esta oração: que o vosso amor aumente mais e mais em pleno conhecimento e toda a percepção, para aprovardes as coisas excelentes e serdes sinceros e inculpáveis para o Dia de Cristo" (Fp 1.9-10). Ele quer que os filipenses – e nós também – preservem "a palavra da vida, para que, no Dia de Cristo, eu me glorie de que não corri em vão, nem me esforcei inutilmente" (Fp 2.16). E ele confia no Senhor, crendo que Ele levará os Seus ao alvo: "o qual também vos confirmará até ao fim, para serdes irrepreensíveis no Dia de nosso Senhor Jesus Cristo" (1 Co 1.8). Por isso, o Dia de Jesus Cristo, que começará com o arrebatamento, será um descortinar visível da maravilhosa graça de Jesus. Nesse dia se tornará manifesto e visível para os crentes que Jesus realmente é o Autor e Consumador da fé dos Seus discípulos! Pois onde estaríamos, se a graça de Jesus não fosse atuante em nós?

O Dia do Senhor (a Bíblia também fala "daquele dia", "o dia", "o grande dia") é, por sua vez, caracterizado pelos grandes juízos da ira de Deus, como foram anunciados pelos profetas no Antigo Testamento e como o apóstolo João os viu quando se encontrava na ilha de Patmos. O respeito leia-se os capítulos 6, 8 a 11, e 16 a 19 de Apocalipse. O Senhor Jesus diz sobre esse período de juízos extraordinários em Marcos 13.19: "Porque aqueles dias serão de tamanha tribulação como nunca houve desde o princípio do mundo, que Deus criou, até agora e nunca haverá." A Grande Tribulação terá seu fim quando o Senhor Jesus matar o anticristo com o sopro de Sua boca (2 Ts 2.8). Apocalipse 19.20 diz a respeito: "Mas a besta foi aprisionada, e com ela o falso profeta que, com os sinais feitos diante dela, seduziu aqueles que receberam a marca da besta e eram os adoradores da sua imagem. Os dois foram lançados vivos dentro do lago de fogo que arde com enxofre." Após o Milênio, o tempo adentra a eternidade (por favor, leia o último capítulo de Apocalipse a respeito!), e nesse período se cumprirá a palavra de 2 Pedro 3.10: "Virá, entretanto, como ladrão, o Dia do Senhor, no qual os céus passarão com estrepitoso estrondo, e os elementos se desfarão abrasados; também a terra e as obras que nela existem serão atingidas." Assim percebemos que o "Dia do Senhor" só acontecerá após um período muito longo. Pois desde o arrebatamento e a volta do Senhor em grande poder e glória para estabelecer Seu reino, os Milênios de paz passam mais de mil anos até o "fim do mundo" com a subsequente criação de novos céus e nova terra (compare 2 Pe 3.8)

Answer : Actually , according to 2 Peter 3:10 , the earth will still face terrible things which might well be called "doomsday " . We must clearly distinguish between the "Day of Christ " and the " Lord's Day" . Where the Scriptures speak of "the day of Jesus Christ " or " Day of the Lord Jesus," they treat the living hope of believers and their preparation for the rapture and reward. We read in 1 Corinthians 15:51-52 on this day of Jesus Christ : " Behold, I shew you a mystery . Shall not all sleep , but we shall all be changed , In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet The trumpet shall sound , the dead shall be raised incorruptible , and we shall be changed . " Also 1 Thessalonians 4:16 speaks of that day : " For the Lord Himself , given its slogan , the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God , come down from heaven , and the dead in Christ shall rise first . " In his letter of advice to the Philippians , Paul calls us to a life of holiness lest we be ashamed in the time of Jesus Christ : " And this I pray , that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight to approve things that are excellent and sincere and without offense Serdes for the day of Christ " ( Phil. 1:9-10 ) . The Day of the Lord ( the Bible also speaks of "that day " , " day " , " the big day " ) is , in turn , characterized by great judgments of the wrath of God, as was announced by the prophets in the Old Testament and how the apostle John saw them when he was on the island of Patmos . Respect read Chapters 6 , 8-11 , and 16-19 of Revelation . The Lord Jesus says about this period of extraordinary judgments in Mark 13:19 : "For those days will be a time of tribulation such as was not since the beginning of the creation which God created until now , and never will be. " The Great Tribulation will have its end when the Lord Jesus kill the Antichrist with the breath of His mouth ( 2 Thess 2:8) . Revelation 19:20 says about it: " And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet who worked signs in his presence , he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image These both were cast alive into . the lake of fire burning with brimstone . " After the millennium , eternity enters time ( please read the last chapter of Revelation about ! ) , During which time the saying of 2 Peter 3:10 : " He will come , as a thief , the Sabbath , the which the heavens shall pass away with a roar and the elements will melt with fervent heat , the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned .
